The short version
Everything you write in Koro Mi stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your journal entries, habit data, or any personally identifiable information. The only data that ever leaves your device is anonymous crash reports.
What data we collect
Data that stays on your device (never transmitted)
- Journal entries and their content
- Habit names, completion history, and notes
- Mood classifications and scores
- AI-generated embeddings (384-dimension vectors derived from your writing)
- App preferences and settings
All AI processing — mood classification, semantic search, pattern analysis — happens entirely on your device using on-device machine learning models. No text is ever sent to a server for processing.
Data that may be transmitted
Anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) If the app crashes or encounters an unhandled error, an anonymous crash report is sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics. These reports contain:
- Technical error information (stack traces, exception type)
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
Crash reports never contain your journal entries, habit data, mood scores, or any content you have created in the app.
What data we do NOT collect
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials (no account is required)
- Your journal entries or their content
- Your habits, goals, or completion history
- Your mood data or emotional patterns
- Your location
- Advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking data
- Any data shared with third parties for advertising purposes

Data retention
All data you create in Koro Mi is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time by deleting the app. Anonymous crash reports retained by Firebase Crashlytics follow Google’s standard retention policies.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no user data to access, correct, or delete on our servers. To remove all data associated with Koro Mi, simply delete the app from your device.

Children
Koro Mi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
